Even when we know the laws of the universe and manifestation, it doesn’t always seem to work. Why? In my experience, there are blocks.
The heart can be blocked and
The mind can be blocked because it is distracted, wired for worry, or the subconscious has a different agenda.
These two blocks are interrelated. A blocked heart can shut down the pathways from mind to heart.
How the Heart Fuels the Brain
There are four pathways which communicate from the heart to the mind. If those pathways are blocked in some way, the mind will not function as well. We can see this is true from the work and research of the HeartMath Institute.
So, this blocked heart traps the “fuel” for the dream. Mind follows heart in my experience. Mind can work without the heart but the experience seems less satisfying.
Example/Story: When I was younger, I had a lot of fear and anxiety. I was blocked and kept my distance from a relationship and doing what I loved. I was an over-thinker because there was not enough energy flow from heart to head. I’m going to share with you some ways to unblock the heart.
Tips to Work through Blocked Heart:
- Tapping from Jen Ward which I have mentioned so often. See her work here. So effective in breaking through any blocks you may have in your heart or mind.
2. Dr. Bradley Nelson discusses the heart wall and uses muscle testing and more to help unblock the heart wall. He finds the trapped emotions and releases them.
3. Day to day practice of giving, loving acts of kindness. It will naturally create a connection between your heart and others, “melting” the blocks in heart.
4. Have you ever noticed that when your heart breaks through loss or breakup that you feel vulnerable? This is that feeling of being exposed because you are breaking up blocks that blocked the love pouring through. Here’s the challenge: Try to maintain the attitude that this will heal and that this new feeling of vulnerability may be a healthy thing for you eventually, you will actually benefit from the process instead of becoming a victim.
[Although the process of abuse is related to having a blocked heart and having it break, it is a more complicated process to disengage from. I cannot cover that here.
The blocked heart can sabotage the creative thinking mind.]
The subconscious mind can sabotage the conscious mind when it has a different agenda from the conscious mind. We cannot use affirmations or visualizations as successfully because we are wired subconsciously for something different.
Tips to Work through Subconscious Blocks:
There are many which work including the ideas above.
Here’s one imaginative process to get the subconscious to align with conscious:
Create a map for the mind to follow.
Example: “I want to be thin.” OK. Begin to imagine yourself doing what a thin person does. Draw pictures of yourself energetic, thin. Look at clothes you would wear. Imagine the feeling, dress fo rit. I did this for many months, and I was led to lose the weight gradually and in a way that worked for me. I didn’t realize I needed to detox to lose weight, so I was let to a very specific detox diet supported by medical help. Spend a little time each morning imagining, visualizing this.
After you do this for a while (maybe even immediately), solutions will be led to you to help you manifest. Consider them.
When we dream, we form a picture in another world which is to say it begins to manifest. Why would world class athletes use visualization so much? I hear tennis players like Djokovic and Williams say that it is all mental for them at this level.
Form a picture of what it is you want, feel into it, use your imagination to conjure up the senses.
I hope these thoughts on unblocking the heart and mind are useful. If they are, please feel free to share with others. That will unblock the heart, too.
