I loved watching Denise Linn’s videos about Space clearing. (link here) She talks about how to clear space with fire and smoke, water, sound, and salt.
Since I couldn’t light up a smudge stick, I dug up my Tibetan bowl and used it to clear the space. Denise instructs you to start at the entrance and make a circle around each room with the sound or the smoke circling the area. Before you begin you need to hold the item to your heart center and value it. I held my bowl to my chest and breathed into it with reverence.
Then I began. I did each room walking in a circle while striking the bowl gently. When I finished, I did a crazy eight figure with the sound to “seal the room,” as Denise recommends.
When it was all finished, I sat sat down across from my husband in the living room. We immediately began giggling like 12-year-olds over some miscommunication.
“That is the clearing!” I told him.
It was so light an airy. We hadn’t had a good laugh in weeks. The burst of giggles surprised us. In addition, I felt my mind clear up and was able to sit down later and do some work I had been putting off.
This week’s exercise:
Do a clearing. Take a musical instrument and smudge your room or home. And bonus tip: If you have a particularly heavy space or corner, put a dish of salt in that corner and let the salt slowly absorb the energy that is not desirable. For example, I had a plant that died in a corner by our television. After a few days, FLUSH the old salt down the toilet or dispose of it in some way. Enjoy your new clarity.
