How do you speak, teach and lead from the heart?

We are not just our minds—we are more than Hal the artificial intelligence from the movie, “2001 A Space Odyssey.”
There is an energy and wisdom to tap into from the heart. We know this from the neurons in the heart, the communication that happens from the heart to the head, and the measurable heart waves which can alter brain chemistry. (see Heartmath Institute)
How We Disconnected from Heart Energy
If a person has shut his heart due to life’s difficulties, “ heart breaks” and “dangerous emotional situations,” the person forgets or cannot access this energy and wisdom there.
The line of communication from Heart to Brain is disrupted.
Chiropractor, Bradley Nelson, calls this the heart wall, and noticed that not only did the “heart wall” affected one’s ability to respond and feel emotions.
In my experience it can affect one’s health and the ability to tap into passion and live it out.
Dr. Nelson calls the cause of the heart wall trapped emotions and has found a system to break through the heart wall.
I have discovered other ways to break through the heart wall using intention and using life’s experiences.
Acting Tips for the Non-Actor
As an actor, I learned about this heart energy as a way to tap into the emotions of the character as well as a way to connect to the audience.
Some hard characters had a closed heart so that was also important in learning how to close the heart but with awareness.
We had to memorize our lines, but then we had to use our senses, and our emotions to bring the character to life and to connect to others.
The Heart Is the Secret Sauce
The heart is the secret sauce to engage any audience—connect to them in the moment.
When you engage your heart, you tap into the excitement and enthusiasm and will be able to engage others. This goes for any business or profession you are in.
